Important Updates due to Covid-19

As non-essential travel starts to open up and the pandemic no longer confines us. Cleanliness takes on a more important role in the vacation and hospitality industry and extra precautions are required. In light of the Coronavirus, guest expectations are higher and keeping our guests safe and providing a first-class guest experience is our top priority.

Housekeeping & Cleaning Protocols

In alignment with new public health regulations, we have updated and standardized our housekeeping and cleaning protocols to fall in line with the new official safety guidelines, prevent the spread of the Coronavirus and ensure the safety of Belize travelers and more importantly, our guests.

Whilst our borders are still closed and we are currently not yet open for business. We will be using this time to train our staff and housekeepers on these new protocols with checklists and inspections in place for every rental. Our cleaning process has always been thorough. Yet we have now upgraded our products to EPA approved 3M industrial disinfectants and every rental will be thoroughly cleaned, disinfected and sanitized before and after each stay.

Cleaning Options

Our new cleaning protocols include “no interaction during stay” for the safety of our guests and cleaning staff and our self check-in and check-out option, ensures less interaction and encourages social distancing. Your home will be deep cleaned prior to arrival. Yet the traditional in-room cleaning service will no longer be the norm. There are a number of cleaning options for our guests to choose from for their post Covid-19 stay in Belize. Or alternatively you may request no service at all.  

Normal Cleaning Service

This involves a full pre-stay cleaning service with an emphasis on deep cleaning and disinfecting. There will be no contact between the cleaning staff and guests during the stay, unless requested. Each rental home is equipped with a washer and dryer enabling guests to have an independent stay. And limiting the need for fresh towels and linens and contact with cleaning staff. Guests will also be responsible for their own trash disposal. You may always opt for an additional mid-stay clean with our streamlined service at an additional charge which can be scheduled anytime, including after arrival. 

Streamlined Service

This service is an additional charge and involves a light house-keeping option only with a daily drop of fresh towels. And bathroom amenities and the removal of trash. This option is available as a mid-stay clean which is recommended for longer stays. Again, there will be no contact between the cleaning staff and guest, unless requested. 

Personal Shopper

To further encourage social distancing. We are offering our guests a personal shopper service for a small additional fee. Prior to arrival or during your stay with us. If you’re concerned about your health or simply feeling the need to isolate and limit contact with the outside world. This is a great option and service for our guests to enjoy. Contact the guest service/reservations team to get more details on this service. 

Your Pre-Stay Clean Checklist

Your Belize vacation home will be deep cleaned. Disinfected and sanitized prior to your arrival. Our staff will carry out all the safety procedures and will wear disposable gloves, masks and any necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) required. Here’s what you can expect:

• The home will be well ventilated prior to guest arrival
• All bathrooms will be cleaned and disinfected to the highest standard
• The kitchen including appliances, countertops, kitchenware and utensils will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected
• he entire home will be swept, mopped and all surfaces and floors disinfected
• All linens, towels and pillows are laundered and go through a disinfection process
• Special attention will be given to high touch surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, touch screens, remotes, chairs, tables, faucets and sinks etc.

We supply many of the basics needed for a clean stay (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, antibacterial hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, antibacterial dishwashing liquid, dishwasher pods, cleaning cloth/sponge), but here’s how you can help us ensure a safer stay in Belize. 

• Wash your hands regularly, especially on return to your rental
• Cover your nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing with a tissue
• Discard of any tissues yourself to avoid our staff having contact
• Open the windows and doors regularly to allow air circulation
